I have a number of projects that would be of interest to policymakers but which also have some academic merit. I am trying to find some funding to complete these projects, but don't think the standard orgs -- like NSF -- would be interested in funding them (I am not HRM).
Curious whether there are think tanks, foundations or government institutes that offer grants (anywhere from $5k to $100k) for policy-relevant research. The projects are all empirical, mostly in environmental econ. I imagine they might even be of interest to state-specific organizations, in some cases, especially in the western US.
Any pointers for where to look for some money?
